It's Alive! It's Alive! It's Alive! My monitor lives!

Man when one of my 23" monitors went on the fritz a few days ago, I was pissed that I'd have to suffer with only two left . I left it alone since then and I came back to it today trying to do some troubleshooting, switching cables, changing resolutions, bla bla bla. Suddenly it started flickering on the screen and the Windows 7 (I know I know, I have Ubuntu too ) background came into view.

I don't know why it did that but I'm just glad to have it back!

The Flames played pretty poorly against the Minnesota Wild tonight. It was depressing to watch - the only good thing was the cheap wings munching away with Steph, Cory and their friends over at the West Creek Pub behind the house .

We're sitting there watching the game as it moves along and the Flames are all over the place getting over skated by a team that was "sliding"... TSN said the Wild "will try to avoid matching their longest skid of the season" and looks like they did. Alas, let's hope the next Flames game is better.

Well, this week Rosmina's had a couple of birthday party invitations from her friends at school and today she was quite upset and crying that all she had on her birthday were presents and cake. I tried to explain to her that last July she wasn't even in school and didn't have these friends but she didn't care LOL.

Told her we'd invite her school friends to her next birthday and now she's complaining it can't come fast enough...but now I think school will be out when her birthday comes around...hope not, but I'd better get the parent's email just to be safe LOL!

So did everyone enjoy the wonderful snowfall yesterday? I didn't even notice it snowed until I opened the garage door in the morning. I really need to buy a snow blower thingie...that's after the remote starter which is before or after the monitor - haven't decided which yet - shhhh, don't tell Nazima

I came home and shoveled the piled high snow from the driveway and sidewalk - oh my sore aching body! LOL

At least today is nicer, not necessarly warmer...

Didn't really make any resolutions this year although it's fun to make them when you know you're never going to keep them .
