Got my dream job!

FINALLY!

Well it's taken a while but I did it. Finally got a job as a developer/programmer with a really good company - Critical Control (www.criticalcontrol.com) I started with them last week on September 18th.

Job hunting was tough since almost everyone was looking for intermediate - senior developers with 5-10 years Enterprise experience (basically heavy duty :-)) Alas tis' wasn't me. But the strange (or good) thing is that everything I went through working for myself and doing contract work and learning things on my own, helped me with getting my new job.

If I had kept on working for myself and doing contract work, I wouldn't have found anything challenging since most contracts were simple projects. The last thing i want to do is be stuck in the same level of experience and not learning anything new and no challenge or opportunity to grow. Plus I've got to pay for this new house and contract work wasn't going to do it LOL

Nazima's happy now that I have a permanent job doing what I do best :-) She's probably even happier since I go to bed on time and don't stay in front of the computer as much :-O Amazing isn't it? Here I am working for myself and i'm on the computer almost 24/7 sometimes and now that I'm doing it for someone else, I don't want to do it at home - WTF?!? I never would have thought it possible!
