Parking Infraction Notice 92219621 from the Calgary Parking Authority |

Ain't this just perfect. I got a ticket in the mail for a parking violation taken by the drive by cameras for $40. Now maybe I might have been over the time limit but I know I wasn't. That particular day, I was downtown for lunch with my friends at Dickin's Pub and I had more than enough change to pay for parking so I put in $3. Now I always get a receipt, in part for expenses and partly because I don't trust the camera system and this ticket is a perfect example. The time on the picture on the notice is stamped at 2010-04-01 12:56 and on my receipt the valid period is from 12:18 to 1:01. Noticing the date, I went back and re-read the notice just in case there was a "April Fool's" note but alas not. Anyways, I won't be paying $40 but it just goes to show you should always get that receipt. |
